Library Catalogue
The DSAQ Inc borrowing library is available for members of the association. The library consists of books, magazines and videos with information about Down syndrome under the following headings:
- General Information
- Health/Medical/Nutrition
- Development/Early Learning
- School Years/Education
- Communication/Reading
- Leisure/Relationships/Sexuality
- Towards Independence
- Personal Experiences
- Community Issues
- Children's Books
Together with these sections is a collection of computer software which is available for trial. Headings include:
- Reading
- Writing
- Maths
- Thinking Skills
- Creativity
- Social Science
- Other
The DSAQ Inc Library also includes a collection of books for young people with Down syndrome. These books provide appropriate interest levels with easier reading levels and come from different specialised reading schemes.
Borrowing Rules:
- All library resources area available for borrowing by members of the DSAQ Inc.
- Four items can be borrowed at one time.
- Items can be posted to members or collected from the office, during office hours (Monday to Friday 10am-2pm)
- Return of items is the responsibility of the members, either posted or returned to the office during office hours (as above)
Ordering Books:
- Books can be ordered by contacting the office or the librarian.
