E-Group
About the eGroup
You are just clicks of a keypad away from being in touch with hundreds of other families throughout Queensland, around Australia and as far away as the UK. Members of the eGroup discuss the full spectrum of topics arising from having a loved one in the family with Down syndrome - baby topics, toddler topics, school, adolecence, puberty, work, health, communication, behaviour, community, independent living, sharing the good stories and the not so good experiences.
These parents tell it like it is. If you are a parent and would like to become a part of this massive support network, either follow the prompts or contact the office requesting to join the group and we'll do the rest. The system works by email, and any messages posted to the group are sent to you each time you check your mail.
The DSAQ now has THREE active egroups.
- A general email list for members all over Queensland to keep in touch. To join, goto http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dsaqld/join/
- An email list for members of Club Rainbow - our youth group - To join, goto http://groups.yahoo.com/group/club_rainbow/join/
- An egroup forum for teachers and educationalists to share ideas and information about including students with Down syndrome in their learning programs. It has been organised so that teachers will have an easily accessible support network. To join, goto http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dsaq_teach_net/
